International Lifeguard Instructors Course – Sharm El Sheikh – Egypt

The Egyptian Diving and Lifesaving Federation (EDLF) organised an ILS International Lifeguard Instructors course in Sharm El Sheikh (Egypt) from 05 to 14 March 2019. 33 students from Egypt, Iraq and Kuwait participated. The course took place in the Training Centre of the coastal city of Sharm El Sheikh. The course lasted a full week and over 50 hours and ended with one examination day. The objective of the course was to create good levelled International Lifeguard Instructors that could provide Lifeguard courses in their countries in accordance with the ILS standards.
The course was provided in English by Dr. Harald Vervaecke PhD and interpreted by Prof Dr. Mohammed Mahmoud Abbas Kotb PhD. The four course assistants were: Prof Dr. Mohammed Mahmoud Abbas Kotb PhD, Dr. Hesham Rabea Zaki Qura PhD, Dr. Abdelaziz Mohamed Abdelaziz PhD and Prof. Dr. Mohamed Hassan Mohamed Ali who all are ILS accredited Instructors.
