Rights | Graduates will become International Pool Lifeguard and International Beach Lifeguard Instructors recognised by the ILS and will be able to give courses to candidates who want to become an international lifeguard in swimming pool and/or international lifeguard at sea in their countries. |

Place | Sharm El Sheikh – Egypt. |
Number | The course will be organised for any African country wishing to participate. A maximum of 40 participants will be accepted, including 20-25 from Egypt. |
License and Insurance | Registration also covers insurance. |
Training hours | 45 hours minimum – from Sunday 13/04 to Thursday 17/04 courses take place from 8:30 a.m. to 12:30 p.m. and from 1:30 p.m. to 6:30 p.m. |
Exam | The exam will take place on Friday 18/04 after classes from 8.30 to 16.00. The results will be announced at the closing dinner on Friday evening. |
Admission Requirements | · Present a certificate of medical fitness.
· Have a minimum level of education until 18 years of age. · Be at least 21 years old at the start of the course. · Have obtained a lifeguard certificate in a swimming pool or at beach. |
Course language | The course will be in English. The candidate must have a perfect command of this language. |
Deadline for sending the file | Application files consisting of the following documents must reach the EDLF headquarters before 15 March 2024:
· A request to register for the internship. · A certificate of medical fitness. · A copy of the swimming pool or beach lifeguard certificate. |
Costs | Student from Egypt
· Each student covers the cost of travel to Sharm El Sheikh. · Each student covers the cost of accommodation and food during the week of the course. · ILS covers the cost of photocopying the textbook for each student. · Each student pays course fees of 100 USD. |
Student from one of the neighboring countries and African Federations (Middle East, Sudan, Libya, Algeria, Morocco, Tunisia, etc.)
· Each student (or the student’s federation) covers the cost of visas and air tickets from their country to the Sharm El Sheikh airport. · The EDLF covers the cost of accommodation and food during the week of the course for two students per nation. · Each student (or the student’s federation) pays the course fees of 200 USD. |

Egyptian Diving and Lifesaving Federation (EDLF)
· The EDLF covers the transportation costs from the Sharm El Sheikh Airport to the hotel and back. · The EDLF covers the rental costs of the premises and the swimming pool. · The EDLF covers the cost of photocopying the textbook for each student. · The EDLF covers visa fees and airfare for the Instructor. · The EDLF ILS covers the Instructor’s accommodation for 8 nights. · The EDLF covers instructor catering for 8 days. · The EDLF provides the equipment for the course and covers the equipment rental costs (if any). |
