The ILS and the ILS-Africa Academy nominated Dr. Mohammed Ali Gharbal PhD, Mr Mohamed Rharbal and Mss Rahib Fatima Ezzahrae as the International Chief Instructors to lead three International Lifeguard Instructor’s course in the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia. The courses were organised by the Saudi Lifesaving Federation (SLSF) and took place in Riyadh, the capital of Saudi Arabia:
All Instructors and students had to pass a Covid-19 test and were quarantined during one week. Social distancing was respected as far as possible.
The SLSF took care of all Instructors’ airfare, full accommodation, incidental costs, teaching fees, local transportation, the rental of the classroom and swimming pool, the course manual, the Certificates and the training equipment.
The theoretical and practical sessions took place in the Prince Faisal Bin Fahd Olympic Complex. The Theoretical course was held in a large auditorium and the Practical courses in two semi-Olympic Swimming pools which were only reserved for the course.
All the participants received in the beginning of the course hard copies of the ILS Arabic Manuals, and the updated criteria for lifeguards and instructors.
