The Royal Moroccan Lifesaving Federation organised the First African Drowning Prevention Conference on 29 October in Agadir, Morocco.
In total Delegates from 22 African Nations participated in the Conference: Algeria (1 participant), Benin (1), Burkina Faso (1), Cameroon (2), Central African Republic (1), Cape Verde (1), Comoros (2), Djibouti (1), Egypt (3), Gambia (3), Ghana (3), Guinea-Bissau (1), Kenya (3), Mauritania (2), Morocco (54), Niger (1), Sao Tome and Principe (2), Senegal (1), South Africa (2), Sudan (1), Tunisia (2), Zambia (1).
Besides the African nations, seven (7) nations from Europe and the Asia-Pacific Region participated: Belgium (3), France (2), Monaco (1), Norway (1), Portugal (ASNASA)(1), Spain (2) and the United Arab Emirates (1).
So, in total 29 nations participated in the Conference that counted some 100 delegates.
