DESCRIPTION:The World Conference on Drowning Prevention is due to take place in the city of Sharm El Sheikh (Egypt). \nSharm El Sheikh is an Egyptian city on the southern tip of the Sinai Peninsula\, on the coastal strip along the Red Sea. Its population is approximately 55\,000 as of 2023. Sharm El Sheikh is the administrative hub of Egypt’s South Sinai Region\, which includes the smaller coastal towns of Dahab and Nuweiba as well as the mountainous interior\, St. Catherine and Mount Sinai. The city and holiday resort is a significant centre for tourism in Egypt\, while also attracting many international conferences and diplomatic meetings. Sharm El Sheikh is one of the Asian cities of Egypt\, it’s also called “the city of peace” referring to the large number of International Peace Conferences that have been held there. \nLocated on the southern tip of the Sinai Peninsula\, Sharm El Sheikh is one of Egypt’s most popular and luxurious resort destinations. Known for its crystal-clear waters\, world-class diving\, and year-round sunshine\, Sharm El Sheikh attracts visitors from around the globe. The Red Sea here is teeming with marine life\, making it a top spot for scuba diving and snorkelling. The area also boasts stunning coral reefs\, upscale hotels\, and vibrant nightlife\, offering a perfect blend of relaxation and adventure.
